A place to find your people

Students working on neurotechnology need opportunities to share projects and meet people beyond their own campus. The conference brought student teams, researchers, and industry professionals into the same room.

From an idea to a shared event

I created the conference with Soulaimane Bentaleb. This project reflects another part of what I like to do: bring people together around an idea and make something happen.

CruX UCLA hosted the inaugural event at Covel Commons on April 29, 2023, with collaboration across UC neurotechnology clubs. The program combined talks, an industry panel, student demonstrations, and a poster session.

Give students a place in the conversation

Students presented brain–computer interface projects to researchers and industry professionals. Discussions connected technical work with its clinical possibilities and ethical questions.

The Daily Bruin covered the first conference. Its report and the photograph above document the event; the story is linked below.
